Grief lets us know that what we lost was very meaningful to us. It's very important to acknowledge grief and know that it's a process that sometimes takes a life of it's own and comes to us in odd situations. There are small and almost insurmountable griefs in life because life is change and fraught with losses. Some may be expected while others may be surprising like a natural disaster that takes everything we own, a divorce that we never saw coming and ensuing loss of our family unit. There are devastating losses, like the death of a loved one that feels unjust such as the loss of a child. The Pandemic has brought these losses to the forefront in many ways. The level of grief is in relationship to the person/thing/situation in our lives. How do we deal with loss? How can we manage overwhelming grief? Guest Dr. Milly Diericx, will join Dr. Jean Marie Farish in an empowering conversation on strategies for self-care, well-being, and finding meaning after loss and grief.
