Grief lets us know that what we lost was very meaningful to us. It's very important to acknowledge grief and know that it's a process that sometimes takes a life of it's own and comes to us in odd situations. There are small and almost insurmountable griefs in life because life is change and fraught with losses. Some may be expected while others may be surprising like a natural disaster that takes everything we own, a divorce that we never saw coming and ensuing loss of our family unit. There are devastating losses, like the death of a loved one that feels unjust such as the loss of a child. The Pandemic has brought these losses to the forefront in many ways.
