There is a crisis for young people in our country when it comes to equal access to mental health services. Some of the most traumatized and therefore anxious and depressed young people have little or no access to the services they need. Seeing this disparity, Sean Perry created a coaching program to teach kids and teens how to regulate their toughest emotions and find their ways to the life awaiting them. His organization, We R H.O.P.E., takes their proven program into schools and offers valuable lessons in how to cope with the danger, the losses, the bullying and all the other emotional challenges young people face. Join us as we talk about how the program works and what he hopes will become a more universal commitment to the mental health of the next generation.
On Good Grief we explore the losses that define our lives. Each week, we talk with people who have transformed themselves through the profound act of grieving. Why settle for surviving? Say yes to the many experiences that embody loss! Grief can teach you where your strengths are and ignite your courage. It can heighten your awareness of what is important to you and help you let go of what is not.
