Until recently, very little attention was paid to the quality of our lives at the very end of our lives. But that is changing, fueled by patient demand but also by a group of medical practitioners who are passionate about making sure everything possible is done to empower people at the end of life. At the forefront of this movement are the palliative care doctors who help seriously ill and dying people navigate the territory they have entered, often unprepared. Shoshana Ungerleider took her own work as a palliative care doctor (and teacher) a step further, creating a foundation that supports work to improve end of life and organizing the End Well conference (December, 2017) to share groundbreaking work in end of life care. Join us to hear what contributes to a good end and how we can prepare for this deeply potent time in all of our lives.
