What has compelled you after a loss? When Susan Hayden lost her husband it was sharing time and space with writers and musicians. Beginning as a way to focus on something besides grief after her loss, her Library Girl series offered comfort and inspiration, re-engaging her with her new normal. As time has gone by, she has been especially interested in sharing the writing and music of artists who create work out of loss, adding depth to her monthly performance events and carving out a place of respect and interest in her community. What was it like to balance creativity, parenting and grief, all at the same time? How does she look at that time now? Listen in and find out.
On Good Grief we explore the losses that define our lives. Each week, we talk with people who have transformed themselves through the profound act of grieving. Why settle for surviving? Say yes to the many experiences that embody loss! Grief can teach you where your strengths are and ignite your courage. It can heighten your awareness of what is important to you and help you let go of what is not.
