Have you noticed people don't seem to be feeling holiday spirit-at least not the Hallmark card or Norman Rockwell kind? Dr. Carole helps you understand why it's harder this year and gives advice on how to fake it til you make it, so your holidays can be happier! Some holiday stress comes from not knowing what to wish people without offending them-like a famous comedienne who was reported to her boss for wishing someone Merry Christmas! We're too PC these days and it's making people afraid to say anything that might be considered offensive-like the radio host who was fired for a joke about wanting news of a shooting to interrupt the monotony of impeachment. Bad taste, yes, but just a joke. Other news guilty of dampening spirits include the Golden Globes backlash to the #MeToo movement, Notre Dame closed for Xmas, Melody Bannister's kids not yet saved, and a terrorist being called Porn-Stash. Dr. Carole ends the show with a feel-good story you'll want to tell others to cheer them up!
Everyday we are bombarded with stories in our newspapers, on television and on the radio that make it seem as though society is spiraling out of control. But just when everything in the world seems insane, Dr. Carole Lieberman creates a sanctuary for sanity. Call or log in to get help making sense of these turbulent times or just for advice from a soothing voice. “Dr. Carole’s Couch” broadcasts each Tuesday at 1pm Pacific (4pm Eastern) on the VoiceAmerica begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting Channel.
